To be designated supervisory, as defined by the Higher Education Employee Relations Act (HEERA), the position must supervise at least two (2) career employees. The duties of the positions supervised must be substantially different from duties performed by the supervisor. The supervisor must have the authority on behalf of management to hire, assign, and direct job responsibilities, evaluate and reward performance, discipline (up to and including dismissal) and adjust employee complaints or effectively recommend such action. |
