Summary: Read about how to use a SQL Executer query to download and print data from the Data Warehouse into an Excel formatted file. The instructions are valid for Netscape 2.02 and above on a PC.

Enter your information.
Enter your SQL statement.
Select the database.
Login with your user name and password.

Select the options you want.
Under Output Options, click the drop-down box next to Send data on the list of choices.
Select the PC file option.
Choose the file options you need.

Run the query.
Click Run Query in the Database Login Parameters section.

Choose the application to open the file. (If you have already done this, proceed to step 6.)
A dialog box will appear, informing you that you are starting to download a file. You can choose one of four buttons appearing in the dialog box.
More Info will open Netscape where you can learn how to extend Netsccape Navigator's capabilities.
Pick App.. will allow you to establish the path to the application that you want to use.
Save File will allow you to save the output to a file.
Cancel will close the dialog box.
Click on the Pick App... button to choose the application you want to use.

Enter the file type.
Either enter the directory path to excel.exe or browse to the location and click Open. (Check with your systems administrator if you cannot locate excel.exe.)
When the information is entered, click OK. Note: After you have created a Netscape file type association and you click Run Query, the application will be launched. The file type association is accessible through Netscape preferences helper applications.

Download the data.
To launch Excel, select the Open It radio button.
Click OK.
Excel will open with the data you requested.
Note: If you uncheck the Always ask box, this screen will not reappear when you download again.

Print the data file.
Either use Print Options in the Excel file or click the printer icon at the top of the page.
