Parking: Where and When to Park  
 
Summary: Find out where and when you can park with your permit.

A:

Annual

Occasional Use

Note: You need an access stamp or sticker for Lots P001 — P010 and Lot P354.

A properly dated A permit provides parking in the following spaces:
  • A 24/7 (reserved faculty): 24 hours daily
    • Look for posted signs: "A" permit required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • A (faculty): 24 hours daily
    • Look for painted red squares with a white A on the ground.
  • B (staff): 24 hours daily
    • Look for painted green squares with a white B on the ground.
  • S (student): 24 hours daily
    • Look for painted yellow squares with a black S on the ground.
  • R (reserved): by permission only, 24 hours daily
    • Look for a "Reserved ###" sign and matching stencil on the ground.
  • Meters (with no fee): 4:30 p.m. – 7:45 a.m. weekdays; all day on weekends.

Note: You need an access stamp or sticker for Lots P001 — P010 and Lot P354.

A properly dated B permit provides parking in the following spaces:
  • B (staff): 24 hours daily
    • Look for painted green squares with a white B on the ground.
  • S (student): 24 hours daily
    • Look for painted yellow squares with a black S on the ground.
  • A (faculty): 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 a.m. weekdays; all day on weekends
    • Look for painted red squares with a white A on the ground.
    • Note: Not valid where posted “A permit required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”
  • Meters (with no fee): 4:30 p.m. – 7:45 a.m. weekdays; all day on weekends.

Visitor

Note: You need an access stamp or sticker for Lots P001 — P010 and Lot P354.

A, B, and S permits are not valid in V parking spaces.

A properly dated daily/ hourly V permit purchased from a pay station or the Gilman Parking Office provides parking for campus visitors in the following spaces:
  • V (visitor): 24 hours daily
    • Look for painted white squares with a black V on the ground.

1 Day or 1 Night A properly dated 1 Day or 1 Night permit lets you park for 24 hours (1 Day) or 1 evening beginning at 4:30 p.m. in the following spaces:
  • S (student): 24 hours (1 Day) or 4:30 p.m. to 7:45 a.m. (1 Night)
    • Look for painted yellow squares with a black S on the ground.
  • B (staff): 24 hours (1 Day) or 4:30 p.m. to 7:45 a.m. (1 Night)
    • Look for painted green squares with a white B on the ground.
  • A (faculty): 24 hours (1 Day) or 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. (1 Night)
    • Look for painted red squares with a white A on the ground.
    • Note: Not valid where posted "A permit required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week."
  • Meters (with no fee): 4:30 p.m. – 7:45 a.m.

Night/ Weekend:

Note: You need an access stamp or sticker for Lots P001 — P010 and Lot P354.

A valid Night/ Weekend Quarterly permit provides parking weekdays and all day on weekends in the following spaces:
  • S (student): 3 p.m. – 7:45 a.m.
    • Look for painted yellow squares with a black S on the ground.
  • A (faculty): 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 a.m.
    • Look for painted red squares with a white A on the ground.
    • Note: Not valid where posted “A permit required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”
  • B (staff): 4:30 p.m. – 7:45 a.m.
    • Look for painted green squares with a white B on the ground.
  • Meters (with no fee): 4:30 p.m. – 7:45 a.m.

Alternate Schedule

Note: You need an access stamp or sticker for Lots P001 — P010 and Lot P354.

The Alternate Schedule permit provides parking on M–W–F or T–Th–F in the following spaces:
  • S (student): 7 a.m. – 11 p.m.
    • Look for painted yellow squares with a black S on the ground.
  • A (faculty): 4:30 p.m. – 11 p.m.
    • Look for painted red squares with a white A on the ground.
    • Note: Not valid where posted “A permit required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”
  • B (staff): 4:30 p.m. – 11 p.m.
    • Look for painted green squares with a white B on the ground.
  • Meters (with no fee): 4:30 p.m. – 11 p.m.
