Start your setup. |
- In Outlook, click Tools at the top of the page, and open the Out of Office Assistant. The screen shows the radio button selected next to "I am currently In the Office."
- Click Add Rule to open the Edit Rule screen.

Configure the rule. |
- Check the box next to "Sent directly to me."
- Check the box next to "Reply with."
- Click Template to open the message screen.

Enter your out-of-office message. |
- Insert a subject.
- Enter your message.
- Close and save the template.
- Click OK on the Edit Rule screen.

Activate the message setup. |
- Select the radio button next to "I am currently Out of the Office."
- Click OK.
- Your vacation message will reply to each individual e-mail message, but not e-mail lists, until you return to the Out of Office Assistant and select the radio button next to "I am currently In the Office."

Cancel the message when you return. |
- In Outlook, click Tools at the top of the page, and open the Out of Office Assistant. The screen shows the radio button selected next to "I am currently Out of the Office."
- Select the radio button next to
"I am currently In the Office."
- Click OK.

Reactivate your out-of-office response. |
- In Outlook, click Tools at the top of the page, and open the Out of Office Assistant.
The screen shows the radio button selected next to "I am currently In the Office."
- Click Edit Rule to open the Edit Rule screen.
- Click Template to open the message screen.
- Update your message and close and save the template.
- Click OK on the Edit Rule screen.
- Select the radio button next to "I am currently Out of the Office."
