How to Set Up an RSS Feed for Blink Content

Summary: Learn about your options for finding new and updated Blink content through an RSS feed.

About RSS: RSS is a method of obtaining automatic updates from online publishers. A Web site can "publish" content via RSS by creating a feed, and users can install a reader to check or subscribe to that content. The Blink RSS feed is updated every time Blink publishes a new article or updates an existing one.

into the RSS feed field.

For Firefox browser users only: Use Firefox's Live Bookmark feature to check the Blink RSS feed.

Set up the feed by following these steps:

Open Firefox.
Click Bookmarks, and then click Manage Bookmarks.
In the File Menu, click New Live Bookmark and type a name into the Name field.
Copy and paste http://blink.ucsd.edu/Blink/External/RSS/ContentUpdate.rss
into the Feed Location field.
Type a description for the RSS feed into the Description field and click OK.
Choose the Blink feed from the left hand column under Bookmarks and then double-click the article title from the list of articles in the right column. Click File and then click Close to return to Firefox.
