Configure and connect to the encrypted wireless network.

- Find UCSD's encrypted wireless network:
- Find the Network Manager icon in the notification area. It should look like a small signal strength indicator or a computer monitor and will probably be close to the clock.
- Right-click the icon and ensure that Enable Networking is selected in the pop-up menu.
- Make sure that Enable Wireless is selected.
- Left-click the Network Manager icon and select UCSD-PROTECTED.
- In the Wireless Network Authentication Required window:
- In the Wireless Security field, choose WPA & WPA2 Enterprise.
- In the Authentication field, choose Protected EAP (PEAP).
- Leave Anonymous Identity blank.
- In the CA Certificate field, navigate to where you saved the certificate in the previous step.
- In the PEAP Version: field, choose Version 0.
- In the Inner Authentication: field, choose MSCHAPv2.
- Enter your Active Directory username and password.
- Click Connect.
