How to Get a User ID (Business Systems)

Summary: Follow this guide to request a new user ID for Link Family products, ISIS, IFIS, PPS, DARWIN, SQL-DSE, Coeus, TritonLink, and Timekeeping. |

Get permission to acquire a user ID. |
- Speak with your supervisor.
- Discuss the systems (Link Family products, ISIS, IFIS, PPS, SQL-DSE, DARWIN, Timekeeping, etc.) to which you need access and the types of transactions you will process.
- Your supervisor will provide you with the necessary approval(s) to take to your Departmental Security Administrator (DSA).
- Ask your supervisor to recommend and approve appropriate training.

Get your new user ID from your DSA. |
- Contact your DSA. (If you don't know who your DSA is, use DSA search.)
- Provide your DSA with your:
- First name
- Middle initial
- Last name
- Employee ID number
- Phone number
- E-mail address
- Mail code
- Your DSA will issue you a user ID, which will provide read-only access to the business systems you need. Before you can actually use the systems, you need to complete Steps 3 and 4.

Complete the training that will enable you to use business systems. |
- Enroll in and complete the training sessions recommended by your supervisor in Step 1.
- Notify your DSA when you complete training.

Contact your DSA again. |
- Give your DSA information about:
- Any pertinent training you've completed
- The types of transactions that you need to process, e.g.,
- PPS: inquiry
- PPS: update (with PAN)
- PPS: PAN only
- The approval routing for IFIS (obtain this information from your supervisor)
