Strict regulations govern storage and disposal of hazardous waste generated in laboratories, clinics, shops, studios, and other areas.
Principal investigators and supervisors whose facilities contain hazardous materials must make sure their employees attend appropriate hazardous waste management training.

Hazardous Materials Refresher Training
Requirement:
Required for employees who work with hazardous materials. How you get the training depends on whether you are a laboratory or a trades (shop or studio) employee.

Laboratory Safety Principles/ Injury & Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)
Requirement:
Required for anyone working in a laboratory or other high-hazard environment. This course covers general safety and laboratory hazardous waste issues.

Requirement:
Required for anyone working with human blood or body fluids, or animal blood known to contain human pathogens.

Biosafety: Principles
Recommendation:
