Note: You must complete the field that have a small red arrow next to the description. All other fields are optional.
Profile Title
Enter the profile name in this field. You are limited to 10 characters.
Active?
When this box is checked:
- An Overdraft Balance report is generated based on the criteria in each of the profile detailed records for the profile group.
- E-mail notifications are sent to each of the addressees listed at the bottom of the group profile.
When overdraft balance reporting is no longer needed for this profile group, you can uncheck the Active? box.
Description
Enter your description for the profile in this field. This description will appear on the Profile Maintenance page so you can identify individual profiles.
Notification Schedule
Click the down arrow to view your options. Select one of the options for report production.
Most departments should select At Ledger Close in Data Warehouse which provides the earliest e-mail notifications and Overdraft Balance reports for month-end reporting.
Example: April 30, 2003 ended on a Wednesday and the April ledger closed May 3, 2003. In this case the e-mail notifications for April overdraft balance reports were sent on Sunday, May 5, 2003.
Criteria Detail Records
This area displays the selection and reporting criteria for each of the detail profiles created in this group profile. You create detail profiles records by using the Add Standard Profiles or Add Custom Profile buttons, described below.
- View: Click the "paper and pencil" icon to view the detail profile.
- Del: Click the trashcan icon to delete this detail profile. If no trashcan icon is present, you can only view this detail profile.
- Detail Name: The name that you assigned to this detail profile is displayed.
- Overdraft Criteria: The selection and reporting criteria are displayed.
- Preview: Click this button to view the Overdraft Preview report.
Note: When you create a new profile, this area is blank.
Add Profile buttons
These buttons appear after you have created your profile definition. At that time, you have two options:
- Click the Add Standard Profiles button to have the system create default profile detail records for you based on recommended selection and reporting criteria.
- Click the Add Custom Profile button
to create your own customized profile detail records to meet specific department needs.
Note: If you are a beginning user, use the "standard" profiles because they meet policy requirements and can be easily modified later to suit your needs.
E-mail addresses
Overdraft reports are e-mailed to the recipients that you select. To enter e-mail addresses, click the Add E-Mail Address button. You must provide at least one e-mail address, and you can enter additional email addresses of individuals who should receive copies of the reports. Follow the Hints on E-Mails tips on the screen.
Note: Only UCSD e-mail addresses are accepted. E-mail addresses are validated through the UCSD phone directory.
Submit buttons
- SaveProfile: Use this selection to create the profile and later to change the profile description or notification schedule.
- AddStandardProfile: This button is displayed at the bottom of the screen for your convenience. It performs the same function as SaveProfile.
- AddCustomProfile This button is also displayed at the bottom of the page for your convenience. It performs the same function as SaveProfile.
- DeleteProfile: Use this selection to delete the group profile and all its criteria detail records.
Note: This action cannot be reversed.
