Requirements for getting authorization to buy radioactive materials for your lab:
Ways to order radioactive materials:
- Use Marketplace UCSD's online buying site to order radioactive materials if your department has access.
- If you're not sure that your department has access, check the list of departments and representatives (Excel) to find out.
- If your department is listed, you can go directly to Marketplace and start shopping. For radioactive materials, be sure to enter your department’s RUA number in the Use Authorization Number field of the Marketplace requisition.
- If your department does not have access, see Getting Set Up in Marketplace.
- Department Order for orders under $2,500.
- High Value Purchase Requisition for orders over $2,500, blanket or standing orders, or orders requiring delivery of radioactive materials from outside the United States.
