Campus departments can have two types of research funds using the general fund, 19900A:
- The general research allocation uses the program code 440000. The Office of the President and various University Multicampus Research Units (MRUs) allocate these funds.
- Specific research allocations use separate program codes starting with 44.
General Accounting or Disbursements sets up the program code and an associated index at the time of the award. Your department does not need to initiate this action.
