Supervisor responsibilities
Individual supervisors must identify job-specific hazards and make sure their employees attend required and recomneded safety training for the type of work they perform.
Injury & Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)
Required for all employees receiving compensation from UCSD. You need to attend only once in your career.

Ergonomic Training
Required for employees covered by the Coalition of Unversity Employees (CUE) contract who work more than 60% of their time at a video display terminal.
Recommended for employees who work more than 4 hours per day at a video display terminal.

Fire Extinguisher Training
Recommended for employees who work with hazardous materials, equipment, or processes associated with a high risk of fire.
How to get the training:
- Register for Fire Extinguisher Training at Enrollment Central.
- View the "Using Portable Fire Extinguishers" video if you work in an environment with a low risk of fire.
