Desktop Support
Desktop Support provides on-site Apple and Windows computer support services on a recharge basis for UCSD and UCSD-affiliated departments. Services offered:
- Setup of new workstations and servers or upgrade existing
- Management of department networks (remotely or on-site)
- Migration of department networks to Active Directory
- Campus Exchange E-mail services
- Installation and configuration of software applications
- Removal and troubleshooting of security issues, such as virus infections
- HP laser printer repairs
- Note: Desktop Support does not provide programming services for databases or support Unix. For Unix, contact ACMS Unix Support.

ACMS Computer Repair and Installation (CRI) provides the UCSD community with expert hardware repair and upgrade support. It offers in-shop repairs and upgrades for computers and printers. CRI is authorized to perform warranty work on Apple, HP, and IBM computers. CRI can also work on most out-of-warranty machines.
Certified Network Technicians are also available for your network installation needs.

The UCSD Bookstore, in conjunction with CRI, will accept items for repair from Apple and IBM. You can drop off and pick up items anytime during the Bookstore's hours of operation, including evenings and weekends.
