How it works: You can designate primary and secondary retirement and life insurance plan beneficiaries online.

Plans that require beneficiaries:

• Tax-Deferred 403(b) Plan
• Tax-Deferred 457(b) Plan
• Defined Contribution Plan
• University of California Retirement Plan (UCRP)
• Life Insurance

To view or designate beneficiaries:

• For UCRP, CAP, or life insurance:
  • Go to At Your Service Online and log on:
  • Via Single Sign-On (see instructions)
  • Via AYSO password
  • Select My Beneficiaries.
• For all other retirement plans:
  • Visit the Web site for Fidelity Retirement Services, or call (866) 682-7787.

Review your beneficiaries regularly and update them if you experience a major life event such as marriage, divorce, birth of a child, or a death.
