First-time training: If you have not yet completed formal training in safely handling hazardous materials, you must attend Laboratory Safety Principles/IIPP via Enrollment Central before you are eligible to take the annual refresher course described below.

How to get annual refresher training:

• Use the Annual Hazardous Materials Training for Laboratory Personnel online Web-based tutorial on Enrollment Central.
• Print a Certificate of Completion at the end of the tutorial and keep it with your training records.
• Upon course completion you will receive an e-mail notification, and the tutorial will be listed on your Enrollment Central training history and Blink MyTraining account.

Expiration dates: County regulations require training annually — not 12 months from date of completion. Your annual training can be completed anytime this year, regardless of last years expiration date.

Keep training certificates where you can easily retrieve them upon request by inspectors. County inspectors audit UCSD training compliance during their annual inspections.
