Summary: Link to guidelines to follow if alcoholic beverages are necessary for a UCSD event or meeting. |

Background: Use of alcoholic beverages must meet specific requirements, particularly when the use occurs on campus.
If use of alcoholic beverages is absolutely necessary and integral to an event, follow these instructions:
- For on-campus events:
- For events that qualify as official entertainment:
- Be sure that any requests for payment or reimbursement follow fund-source restrictions.
- Follow requirements above if the meeting or event is held on campus.
- For events that involve University travel: Check the fund source for any restrictions.
