Each UCSD parking lot has accessible spaces designated by the wheelchair symbol. If you have a Disabled Person (DP) placard or license plates, you can park in these spaces without a UCSD parking permit. You can also park for free in metered parking spaces.

Follow these guidelines:

• Clearly display your DP placard/ plates.

• Always carry valid identification when using your DP placard/ plates. Show it to law enforcement officers upon request.

• Do not allow others to use your DP placard to park in accessible spaces when you're not in the car.

• DP placards expire periodically. Make sure your placard is up to date.
