If you're a visitor to UCSD, please follow these parking tips:
Weekdays:
Between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. Monday through Friday, you have three choices:
Purchase a Visitor permit. These V permits are available at pay stations (in some parking lots or at the visitor information kiosks at the Gilman Drive and North Point Drive entrances) or at the main Parking Office in the Gilman Parking Structure (map). V permits cost $1 per hour, up to $7 for a full day. You can park in any V, B or S spot for the amount of time you have purchased.
Park at a metered spot ($1 per hour).
Purchase a One-Day permit. These permits are available at the main Parking Office in the Gilman Parking Structure (map) and at pay stations in most parking lots. One-Day permits are $7. You can park in any V, B or S spot all day, and in A or metered spots after 4:30 p.m. or before 7:45 a.m.
Note: If you need a permit for longer than one day, read about the variety of short-term parking permits.
Weekends and after 11 p.m. nightly:
Parking is free on the main UCSD campus on Saturdays and Sundays, and between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. Park in any A, B, S, or metered space that posts none of the following parking limitations:
- A permit required 7 days a week, 24 hours a day
- Disabled
- U.C. Vehicles only
