If you bike, hike, carpool, or take public transportation to UCSD but sometimes need access to a car, join Zipcar. Your trips can take place any time, any day, and don’t have to be business-related.

Zipcar at UCSD
Find general information about how Zipcar works on its Web site, but also note this UCSD-specific information:
- UCSD Zipcar locations: See parking spaces where you can pick up and return Zipcars on campus and at Hillcrest Medical Center.
- During trips, you can park a Zipcar in red A, green B, yellow S, metered, or service yard spaces without a UCSD parking permit. (You must return it to its original location on time to avoid penalties.) See UCSD’s parking map to see all lots.

- Unused credits are brought to zero.

- Any charges incurred while ineligible for this account are your personal responsibility.

Check the Zipcar Web site for the most up-to-date hourly and daily rates, which vary by vehicle and include:

- 180 miles per trip
- Roadside assistance
- 24-hour customer service
