New: To contribute to UCSD's IT achievements poster on display throughout the conference and poster session, e-mail uccsc-support@ucsd.edu by Friday, June 13. Include in your submission your department's technology projects, challenges, or success stories.
Since the first University of California Computing Services Conference (UCCSC) in 1982, UC's information technology (IT) professionals gather nearly every summer to share information and discuss common issues and goals.
This year's conference theme, "Now UC IT...," focuses on the life stages of IT services. From conception and development to maturity and legacy status, each phase in a service’s life cycle has its own unique characteristics and challenges.
UCCSC 2008 will be held July 20-22 at the UC Santa Barbara campus. See conference details for more information.
Registration is now open. If you register before June 20, 2008, the cost is $215; after June 20, it increases to $265. Registration will remain open until July 14, or until we reach our maximum of 300 attendees. Use of your UC Corporate card is strongly recommended. See payment methods.
Proposal review: Proposal abstract submissions closed March 14, 2008, and the proposal review process is complete. Log in to the Submissions area to check the approval status of proposals you submitted.
Lodging: Please be aware some hotels begin releasing their room blocks as soon as May 20, 2008. See lodging options.
If you have questions about this year's event, contact Parrish Nnambi, UCSD Campus Ambassador.
