UCSD is developing and implementing the Sewer System Management Plan (SSMP) to properly manage, operate, and maintain all parts of the sanitary sewer system under campus control. The SSMP will help reduce and prevent sanitary sewer overflows (SSOs), as well as mitigate any SSOs that do occur.
Plan development began in summer 2007 and is expected to be complete by August 2009. The public is invited to review and comment on the development plan and schedule (PDF).
