UCSD's Health and Wellness Expo (formerly Open Enrollment Fair) is Tuesday, Nov. 18, at Price Center (map), Ballrooms A and B from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Guest speaker

Fitness expert Todd Durkin, one of Southern California's top 5 trainers, will discuss "The Making of a Champion" in the Price Center Theater (map) from 12:45 – 1:45 p.m. Seating is limited, please arrive on time.

Expo activities

• Meet representatives from Anthem Blue Cross, CIGNA, HealthNet, Kaiser, and United Behavioral Health.

• Attend presentations in the Price Center (map) Ballroom:
  • "Cigna Choice Fund HRA/ PPO," 11:05 – 11:20 a.m.
  • "Tips on Owning a Home," 11:25 – 11:40 a.m.
  • "Conexis flexible spending accounts,"
    11:45 a.m. – 12 p.m.

• Get healthy lifestyle tips:
  • UCSD Food Services and Catering will feature an array of "Healthy Bites."
  • Watch healthy food cooking demos and get printed recipes.
  • Visit the UCSD Recreation Department booth.

• Get immunized (your medical plan may offer shots for less):
  • Flu shots – $20
  • Pneumonia vaccination – $45

New for 2009

• Conexis is the new administrator for the Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Health and Dependent Care. (If you are an HCRA and DepCare participant, SHPS will continue to process claims for your 2008 accounts.)
• Staywell Health Assessment incentive will continue up to April 15. Eligible participants can still complete the assessment and receive a gift certificate.

Online Open Enrollment assistance

Open Enrollment for 2009 began Thursday, Oct. 30, and ends midnight on Tuesday, Nov. 25.  All changes must be made on At Your Service. A benefits representative will be available at the Expo to help active and retired employees make live changes.
