Retirement Association Benefit: E-mail Forwarding Service  
 
Summary: Retirement Association members, learn how to receive mail forwarded from your ucsd.edu e-mail address.

If you are a UCSD Retirement Association member in good standing, you are eligible for free e-mail forwarding service. This allows you to use your personal e-mail account to send and receive messages from your ucsd.edu e-mail address.

Set up your UCSD e-mail forwarding account

  1. Become a member of the UCSD Retirement Association.
  2. You will receive a Retirement Association member packet that includes:
  3. Get your affiliate Campus Card at the Student Business Services office. There is a $15 fee.
  4. Complete the e-mail forwarding setup form and return it to: UCSD Retirement Association/ 9500 Gilman Drive, Dept. 0020/ La Jolla, CA 92093-0020.
  5. The Retirement Association will notify you when your account is established.

Link your personal account with your ucsd.edu account

To send or receive e-mail from your ucsd.edu address using your personal account, consult with your Internet service provider (ISP) or contact the ACT Help Desk.

The Retirement Association recommends using Google Mail (Gmail) for e-mail forwarding. Gmail is free and easy to set up. To set up a Gmail account, visit Google Mail. Once you've established your account, follow these instructions to set up e-mail forwarding:

  • Click Settings in the upper right corner.
  • Under Settings header, click Accounts tab.
  • Click Send mail as: and enter your ucsd.edu e-mail address.
  • When you receive a verification message from Gmail, follow the instructions to complete the setup.

If you need help setting up Gmail, contact the Retirement Association either by e-mail or phone, (858) 534-4724. Please keep your e-mail address current with the Retirement Association.
