NGN's enhancements include faster data connections and increased Internet bandwidth, expanded help desk services and better network security.

Billing


NGN introduces a new way of billing for services which assesses a fixed monthly charge for each "Communication User" (see a definition), rather than billing for each phone or computer line on campus.



Implementation


NGN upgrades and other changes are in progress across campus. You can see a map of what's already been completed, and what's scheduled to be done this year.
Price CenterWireless

The first phase of a UCSD wireless data network has been completed and access is now available to students, faculty, and staff in parts of campus.
