 Services
NGN's enhancements
include faster data connections and increased Internet bandwidth,
expanded help desk services and better network security.

Billing
NGN introduces
a new way of billing for services which assesses a fixed monthly
charge for each "Communication User" (see a definition),
rather than billing for each phone or computer line on campus.

NGN upgrades

 Wireless
The first
phase of a UCSD wireless data network has been completed and
access is now available to students, faculty, and staff in parts
of campus.
