This division designs and facilitates campus-wide programs to foster equal opportunity, heighten awareness of the value of diversity, and ensure UCSD's status in good standing as a federal and state contractor.
Services include:
- Implementing and monitoring Human Resources procedures to ensure equal opportunity and nondiscrimination in employment and business contracting
- Developing compliance reports as mandated by the federal and state governments
- Collaborating with University representatives to develop and deliver programs for the diversification of UCSD's staff workforce
- Providing career consultations to staff employees and special training for supervisors and employees on topics such as equal opportunity and affirmative action responsibilities and effective management of culturally diverse work groups
- Participating in the informal resolution of discrimination concerns
