Q: I try to sign in to a Link service, but get a login error. I know my password is right. What's wrong?

Some problems and solutions, listed in order of likelihood:
The password entry is case sensitive. Make sure your Caps Lock is not on. Also check the Num Lock if you are entering numbers with the keypad.
Depending on your access rights, your password and User ID may not allow you to use a particular Link product.
The screen scrape utility that's used to authenticate against mainframe facilities is down or non-operational.
You can reset your password by using the Single Sign-On Password Reset feature.

Q: What are cookies?

A: Some Web sites store information in a small text file, called a "cookie," on your hard disk. A cookie contains information about you and your preferences. It can be a record of which pages within a site you visited, to help the site customize the view for you the next time you visit. Only the information that you provide can be stored in a cookie. Allowing a Web site to create a cookie does not give it access to the rest of your computer.

Q: How can I keep my report from truncating?

A: Some reports from Link Family services are designed to be printed in landscape format. Others require left and right margins to be set at '0'. Please check your browser page setup and print properties before you print.

Q: How can I get Excel (or another program on my desktop) to open automatically when I download a file?

A: When downloading data from a report, you may see an "Unknown File Type" box. Click on the "Pick App" button and identify the program you want to use. Once you have selected an application the box should not appear when you download again.

See more detailed directions for downloading on PCs and MACs.
