Receive your UCSD e-mail on your home computer through an e-mail application, such as Outlook or Eudora.
Note: You must have a popmail account to use these instructions.
To configure your e-mail application, such as Outlook or Eudora, to check your UCSD e-mail account, follow the steps below. This will affect only the computer you are using.
Contact the ACT Help Desk to get your e-mail account information. Call (858) 534-1853 and ask for your:
Username
Incoming mail server
Verify that your Internet connection is working.
Follow directions for configuring your account. You will need to know the name of your operating system and e-mail application. Note: Be sure to set your preferences to have messages remain on the server.
When you complete the directions, you'll see your messages in the e-mail application format.
To check your e-mail from this computer in the future, connect to the Internet and open your e-mail application.
Use a Web browser to check your UCSD e-mail from home or a public computer.
