UCSD has adopted the UC-wide contract for general-purpose laboratory products and chemicals with Fisher Scientific.

As part of UC's Strategic Sourcing initiative, a system-wide commodity team reviewed how the University acquires general-purpose laboratory supplies and ensured that each campus's specific requirements were included in the sourcing process. This resulted in an agreement with Fisher Scientific.

Products include:

• Laboratory/ research consumables
• Small laboratory equipment (under $5,000)
• Standard laboratory research chemicals

Benefits of the new contract include:

• Net contract pricing (no freight, hazardous material, dry ice, or other charges)
• Next-day delivery on items ordered through Marketplace Preview
• Dedicated UCSD customer service representatives
• Support from dedicated Fisher account management

• Use Express Order for Fisher products up to $4999
• Check Marketplace Preview to see the selection of Fisher products available.
  Note: Department Order and Express Card may not be used to purchase products from Fisher.
