In support of UCSD sustainability initiatives, we continually find new ways to reduce waste and encourage recycling. “Green” paper comes in all colors. Although available in shades from white to bright, our environmentally friendly papers are green in spirit. Our main production center and our print centers offer the following recycled papers for your print projects, ranging from 10% to 30% postconsumer waste (PCW), in a variety of weights:
- 20-pound bond in 13 colors (30% PCW)
- 60# Astrobrights in 15 bold colors (30% PCW)
- 65# Astrobrights in 15 bold colors (30% PCW)
- 28# Exact Color copy paper in white (30% PCW)
- 24# Classic Crest in multiple colors (30% PCW)
- Index weight stock in four colors (20% PCW)
- Kromekote stock in white (10% PCW)
For your department copier, Imprints provides 30% PCW recycled paper at no extra charge as part of your copier supply agreement. You can also request paper with higher recycled content — 50% or 100% — for a small differential cost. Learn more about ordering paper and supplies from Imprints.
Laser toner cartridges don’t have to wind up in a landfill. In fact, Imprints has diverted about 4 tons of cartridges from landfills over the last five years. Two-thirds of laser cartridges we purchase are remanufactured. And if you’d like to stop throwing away your department’s used cartridges, you can request that Imprints pick up and recycle them for you.
