Open Enrollment is your opportunity to review benefits enrollment and make changes according to the options available. Normally, Open Enrollment takes place in November. The changes you make are effective the following Jan. 1.

Eligible employees receive Open Enrollment information in late October. The information is mailed to your address in the Payroll Personnel System (PPS). Faculty and staff plan modification options usually include:

• Changing medical and dental plans
• Adding eligible family members to plans
• Enrolling in the Health Care Reimbursement Account and Dependent Care Assistance Program (DepCare)

To make changes to your benefits, review the Open Enrollment booklet for information on health plan changes, rates, eligibility rules, and enrollment instructions. During Open Enrollment, you make changes on the At Your Service Web site.

The Open Enrollment Fair, sponsored by the campus Benefits Office, provides an opportunity for active employees to discuss plans with representatives of the different insurance carriers. As the Open Enrollment period nears, dates and times for the fair will be provided.
