New employee |
The employee must be classified as Senior Manager, Manager, or Senior Professional. Requirements include the following:
- The person, at the time of recruitment, must not be employed by the university and also must reside outside the state of California.
- The total relocation allowance may not exceed 25% of the employee's annualized base salary.
- The relocation allowance is included in the employee's gross income as taxable wages (but is excluded from covered compensation under the UC Retirement Plan).

Transferring employee |
The employee must be classified as Senior Manager, Manager, or Senior Professional. Requirements include the following:
